Ayumi Hamasaki
"Ayumi, what!?" You're probably thinking. Unless you're in the know, and appreciate that Ms Hamasaki is Japan's answer to J-Lo or Beyonce.
Just been subbing the text for a J-Pop profile of Ayumi for the first issue of Neo magazine. Laugh out loud funny that, no matter whether you're West or East, the cancer of pop diva-dom is everywhere...
So, apparently, Ayumi tears into some young girl in the front row at one of her gigs. Giving her a hard time about not getting out of her seat to dance.
Turns out she didn't realise the kid was actually disabled and in a wheelchair.
You can imagine what a field day the UK tabloids would have had if Brittany or J-Lo had pulled off a stunt like that.

Living The Dream
So I'm half way through my first week as a full-time magazine editor. One of the main perks of this new job (apart from the mountain of anime DVDs I get to watch, videogames I get to play, and creative gubbins I get to do... when I can find the time) is that I get to work from home and still write comicy-type-stuff into the bargain.
So I guess I'm living the dream, then?
