Aaarrrrggghh!
So Matt phoned last night with a proposition - an all expenses paid trip to the San Diego Comic Con. The only catch being that the flight was on Friday and I needed to cover a PR event for a new toyline. Not much of a catch at all really. But being the responsible guy that I am, I turned it down as my full-time admin job is understaffed and snowed under at the moment. Well, I said responsible, but a mate at work called me a twat. As soon as a I put the phone down I knew I'd made the wrong decision. Given advice that it would do no harm in asking my boss for a few days off under the circumstances, I called Matt back but it was too late. He'd found someone else. Tits.

Marvel Writes Back
I've heard back from Marvel Comics on Saturday morning after submitting a sample of my writing. Although it depends on how you look it, there was not really any bad news in their letter other than that they 'currently do not have an appropriate project available'.

As far as I'm concerned, if they told me to bugger off, that would be bad news!

But the editor has stated that they are interested in my work, and to send in future samples at any time. Could be the first step?
